On March 18,2025, the "China-Indonesia Chemical Industry Offline Exchange Meeting," organized by CTEF （China International Chemical Equipment Fair) concluded successfully in Jakarta, Indonesia. This exchange meeting, as a key component of the "China-Indonesia Chemical Industry Cooperation Exchange Activity," attracted representatives from multiple Chinese and Indonesian chemical enterprises, industry associations, and experts to gather and discuss major plans for cooperation and development in the chemical industries of both countries.

With the theme of "Cooperation to promote the sustainable development of Indonesia's chemical industry economy", this exchange aims to build a communication bridge between China and Indonesia's chemical industry, and promote technical exchanges, project cooperation and trade.

As the prestigious institution of higher learning —— the University of Indonesia is the oldest institution of higher learning in Indonesia. According to the 2024 QS World University Rankings for Chemical Engineering, the University of Indonesia ranks 332nd. It has achieved significant accomplishments in research and education in the field of chemical engineering. The offline exchange meeting was held at the University of Indonesia. Professor Gozan from the University of Indonesia's School of Chemical Engineering warmly received the visiting Chinese delegation and provided a detailed introduction to the background of the university and the development of the Indonesian salt industry, offering valuable insights into the industry for all attendees.

At this exchange meeting, FSII delivered the opening remarks, introducing the basic situation of this event. He stated that the overall relationship between China and Indonesia is positive, with considerable complementarity in technology, capital and resources, as well as market access, laying a solid foundation for cooperation. At the Indonesian University Science Park meeting, he gave a welcome speech, expressing his delight at collaborating with Chinese industry partners. China not only brings investment but also technology, enhancing the value chain to meet global market demands.

At the meeting, leo, representing the CTEF China International Chemical Equipment Expo Organizing Committee, provided a detailed introduction to the information about the 2025 China International Chemical Equipment Expo and sincerely invited all sectors of Indonesian society to continue paying attention, visit the exhibition site in person, and share in the grand event. The 2025 China International Chemical Equipment Expo will be held from June 5-7 at the Shanghai New International Expo Center, with a planned exhibition area of 70,000 square meters. It will gather over 1,000 exhibitors from the "chemical equipment circle" both at home and abroad, showcasing thousands of cutting-edge technologies and equipment from around the world, meeting the multi-dimensional needs of chemical professionals for visits and procurement. It is expected to attract more than 100,000 professional visitors from over 30 countries and regions worldwide, working together to create a platform for the first appearance of advanced chemical technology and equipment globally.

This offline exchange also attracted the attention of Chinese and Indonesian chemical enterprises, and they participated enthusiastically. Representatives from PUPUK INDONESIA, one of the fertilizer manufacturers in Asia, Indonesian Biodiesel Producers Association and Etana related enterprises attended the event and delivered keynote speeches.

At the exchange meeting, representatives from Chinese chemical companies actively spoke up, introducing their technological advantages and product features. They also engaged in in-depth discussions with local Indonesian chemical enterprises. In particular, addressing the current situation where Indonesia's domestic chemical equipment manufacturing capabilities are limited and high-end equipment relies heavily on imports, Chinese companies showcased their technological maturity and cost-effectiveness in areas such as pressure vessels, reactors, and automation control systems. This earned significant attention and recognition from Indonesian chemical enterprises.

It is worth mentioning that after the exchange meeting, the participants also had a free exchange activity and dinner with local Indonesian enterprises, which provided a valuable opportunity for Chinese enterprises to show themselves and expand their market.
